Deutsche Schule and Deutscher Kindergarten: Licensed as a Kindergarten by Lebanese authorities.

Licensed as an Elementary School by the Lebanese Authorities

Construction of the Naameh Campus

Accredited as Begegnungschule by the German Authorities
1977
Naameh Campus was deserted due to Lebanese Civil War
1980
Temporary small school campus in Beirut/Manara
1985
Final Abitur exams held at DISB were disrupted as German teachers, comprising 90% of the staff, fled Beirut due to the kidnapping of German citizens.
1989
The Lebanese-Syrian war destroyed the Beirut school campus. Classes continued up to Grade 8, with only 30 students attending.
1990
Appointment of rst national director Mr. Omar Salloum
School is accredited as a V-Schule from the German authorities
1991
Development of the school as an international school
1995
Renovation of Naameh Campus completed after its destruction

Expanding Beirut Campus with high-tech teaching for Grades 8-12, TV screens and tablets in KGs, and interactive whiteboards in all classes (1-12).
2014
High-Tech Teaching and Learning Approach applied from Grade 7.
Mr. Omar Salloum awarded the German Federal "Order of Merit" by President Joachim Gauck.
2015
Renamed DISB, the school refabricated classrooms, ActivPanel Touch displays for Grades 7-12, and earned the "Excellent German School Abroad" title.
2016
Awarded a certificate for participation in the UNESCO Associated Schools Network for International Cooperation and Quality Education

Transferred to remote online teaching during COVID pandemic
